Memoir, ca. 2000.

Contains a short memoir outlining Doty's flight training (especially carrier landing practice) and aerial operations in the Pacific theater. Describes his raids against naval and land-based targets on Okinawa and Japan (Tokyo). Mentions a bombing raid over Tokyo in which his airplane was crippled and the entire crew was forced to bail out over the Pacific. The crew was subsequently rescued by a patrolling submarine and returned to their carrier, the U.S.S. Monterey. Also includes a list of his military decorations and a history of his service in the LDS Church. Photographs show the U.S.S. Monterey and Doty's downed airplane. Doty is also shown with his flight crew and receiving a medal from his ship's commanding officer.
